Saturday, September 12 is Make a Difference Day, Sausalito’s citywide day of volunteer service, connection, and community pride. The volunteer day is an opportunity to connect with the community, give back, build friendships, and make a meaningful impact through collaborative volunteering. Want to make a difference for wildfire mitigation along Sausalito's main evacuation route? Read more about our project, below.

Have a few hours to make a difference? Join us for a morning of pulling French and Scotch broom along one of Sausalito's main evacuation routes and footpaths. This work will support the reduction of fuels along Bridgeway and the Mill Valley-Sausalito Pathway, actively reducing wildfire risk. You will be able to walk to this location, just North of 1750 Bridgeway (Architect, Michael Rex’s office) from Dunphy Park.
We will remove weeds by hand and with hand tools. Expect to get a little dirty while having fun contributing to your community and neighbors. All tools and a shaded cooling station will be provided. Dumpsters will be on site for debris removal. Come prepared with water, snacks, and appropriate clothing for the activity and weather. Long pants and closed toe shoes are required.
