Structure Fire Incident –1000 Bridgeway

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 

September 29, 2024 - At 3:48 PM Southern Marin Fire District responded to reports of a structure fire located at 1000 Bridgeway Ave in Sausalito. Upon arrival, smoke was seen coming from an outlet on a wall in the kitchen area of the business.  After exposing the area, a minimal amount of charring was identified and the smoldering fire was quickly contained and extinguished.The fire did not spread beyond the initial area of origin. Due to the location and limited amount of smoke produced, the kitchen's fire suppression system did not activate.

 

The fire was fully contained and extinguished by 3:57 PM.  

 

No other civilian or firefighter injuries have been reported.

 

Assisting agencies to the Southern Marin Fire District included: 

  • Marin County Fire
  • Kentfield Fire
  • Sausalito Police Department
  • PG&E

 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
