SMFD will be conducting a LRAD TEST today, August 27, 2025 at Station 9, in Strawberry at 14:30 PST.
* This is just a TEST, please DO NOT call 9-1-1. *
Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) emergency alert systems are unique in that they can project both siren and voice recordings to alert and inform community members during a large-scale disaster. The next regularly scheduled test will be on Saturday, September 9 at 12 Noon PST.
