- 2025 Forest Restoration and Flammable Vegetation Management
Southern Marin Fire District, in cooperation with the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority (MWPA), will begin a forest restoration and wildfire mitigation project targeting flammable vegetation near homes in high-risk areas. Work is scheduled to begin late July 2025 in areas below:
Tam Valley – Tennessee Valley Road, Tennessee Glen Way, Villa Garden Drive (Tam Valley Resident letter)
Tamalpais Valley – Eucalyptus Way and Eastwood Way (Spring Drive letter)
Sausalito – Cypress Ridge Open Space (Rodeo Avenue & Arana Circle letter) (Rodeo Avenue, Gordon Street & Spring Street letter) (Saus Letter For Residents Sept 25 PDF Marion x Hi Vista)
- 2025 Seasonal Defensible Space Inspections, in partnership with Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority.
