Measure U Senior Low-Income Exemption

Application Deadline
To qualify for the exemption on your 2026–2027 tax bill, your completed application must be postmarked by June 30, 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, you must:
- Be 65 years of age or older by July 1, 2026
- Own and occupy your primary residence
- Live within the Southern Marin Fire District
- Have a combined household income at or below the limits listed below
Household Income Limits (2025 Calendar Year)
Total gross household income from all sources, including Social Security, must not exceed:
- 1 person household: TBD
- 2 person household: TBD
- 3 person household: TBD
- 4 person household: TBD
- 5 person household: TBD
Important Notes
- You must reapply every year to maintain the exemption.
- Only submit the application form.
Please do not include tax returns, bank statements, IDs, or other documents.
